Hamilton, Ontario: Nix Sensor Ltd., a technology-based company that designs, manufactures, and retails high-precision sensing technology, such as the award-winning Nix Spectro 2, announced today a partnership with one of the world’s foremost experts on print, packaging, and color measurement, Dr. Danny Rich.
With this new partnership, Dr. Rich brings over 40 years of color industry experience to the Nix team. Dr. Rich held the position of senior color physicist for 23 years at Sun Chemical Corporation, leading the color research laboratory team. Dr. Rich also held the committee chair for ASTM International in the late ’90s through the ’00s. Other former color industry titles include: President of the Inter-Society Color Council and Former Manager of Research at Datacolor.
Dr. Rich is a recipient of the Inter-Society Color Council Godlove Award, he is the author of over 30 industry publications, cited over 350 times, and has created over 25 patents in the field of print and color measurement.
Dr. Rich will be mentoring the Nix team on the development of all current and upcoming color measurement devices. Recently Nix has entered the spectrophotometry space with the release of the Spectro 2, the world’s first portable and durable spectrophotometer. Dr. Rich’s specialization in reflectance spectroscopy will help Nix achieve its goal of becoming the industry leader in color communication hardware, software, and custom workflows.
