Nix Sensor Ltd. Awarded with Engineering Project of the Year

On February 27, Nix Sensor Ltd. was recognized by the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers and the Hamilton/Halton Engineering Week Committee with the 2016 Award for Engineering Project of the Year in the Innovative Project Category.

Frank Lasowski, Chair Hamilton/Halton Engineering Awards; Dixon Paez, Research & Development, Nix Sensor Ltd.; Ron Scheckenberger, Engineering Week Chair; Mike Bot, Research & Development, Nix Sensor Ltd.; James Strack, Research & Development, Nix Sensor Ltd.; Elaina Principato, Marketing Coordinator, Nix Sensor Ltd.; Dan Doherty, Sr. Product Specialist, Nix Sensor Ltd.

As part of Engineers Week, Nix Sensor Ltd. joined Hamilton and Halton leaders, innovators, and industry professionals in celebration of engineering excellence and achievements at the 2016 Professional Engineers Awards Gala. Senior Product Specialist, Dan Doherty, addressed the crowd and discussed the issues with historic and present color matching tools. Unlike current solutions, such as fan decks and paint chips, the Nix Pro Color Sensor blocks out all ambient light and provides its own calibrated light source. This eliminates human subjectivity and ensures an industry-leading level of accuracy.

Thank you to the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers and the Hamilton/Halton Engineering Week Committee for awarding Nix Sensor Ltd. with this prestigious award. We are honored and grateful for the recognition of our engineering accomplishments.

Congratulations to all award recipients including the Region of Halton for the Boyne Sanitary Sewer project, City of Toronto for the Markham Road Bridge Rehabilitation project, and City of Hamilton for the Concession Street – Road, Water main and Streetscaping project.
